Spiritual Formation Book Group

About 4 years ago, I did a 9 month spiritual formation program called Theodyssey. It was eye opening to sort through how much of American spitirual practices are based on cultural norms and ideas. I would highly recommend--there are local groups that form in Santa Barbara each fall as well as shorter term groups as well. A few ladies from my group have continued to meet and read books together. Here is a list of the books we have read (with links to questions if I wrote them).

All My Knotted Up Life: A Memoir By Beth Moore

Invitation to A Journey: A Roadmap for Spiritual Formation by M. Robert Mulholland Jr (Questions from the back of the book)

Praying Like Monks, Living like Fools: An Invitation to the Wonder and Mystery of Prayer by Tyler Staton

Practicing the Way: Be with Jesus, Become like Him, Do as He Did by John Mark Comer

The Spirit of Justice: True Stories of Faith, Race, and Resistance by Jemar Tisby

Invitation to Solitude and Silence: Experiencing God's Transforming Presence by Ruth Haley Barton
