About 4 years ago, I did a 9 month spiritual formation program called Theodyssey. It was eye opening to sort through how much of American spitirual practices are based on cultural norms and ideas. I would highly recommend--there are local groups that form in Santa Barbara each fall as well as shorter term groups as well. A few ladies from my group have continued to meet and read books together. Here is a list of the books we have read (with links to questions if I wrote them).
