Plaza de Vera Cruz is a green open space with a tall 5-12 play structure over rubber foam mat on Haley St. Google will tell you this park is on East Cota, but this side of the park is a Head Start School. Enter from the Haley Street side to get to the main park: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Plaza+De+Vera+Cruz/@34.4189718,-119.6941858,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x80e91387baccbe4d:0x25d717641eebb5ab
Pros
This is a very tall climbing structure for the older kids.
The park is close to the lower downtown area (not many parks close to here).
Cons
There are no bathrooms (cut our visit short!).
There is definitely a larger homeless population here than in most parks.
This structure is high and would not be good for younger kids.
